I was inspired to create these jaunty Scottish Snowmen when I found these tartan glass ornaments a number of years ago… the pipe smoker is reminiscent of the infamous “smoking men” from Germany which were handcarved wood figurines that burned incense inside & the smoke emerged from their mouths.
This jaunty ginger guy is an homage to them and does not emit any smoke, he simply alludes to it … again, a nice throwback to Old World Christmas designs from Europe.
The tartan ball is made of glass, the rest is polymer clay.
